Entreprenista Founders Weekend Recap: Business Lessons, Connections, & Inspiration

A group picture at the Entreprenista Founders Weekend Welcome Party

Somewhere between client deadlines, emails, and the constant motion of running a business, it’s easy to get stuck in your own bubble.

At the beginning of this month, I stepped away from that routine and headed to Entreprenista Founders Weekend at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. This multi-day experience was designed to bring women founders together for connection, growth, and real conversations about what it takes to build something meaningful.

Getting in the right room matters. And this weekend was exactly that. A room full of ambitious, high-energy, deeply driven women who are building incredible businesses… and genuinely want to see each other win.

As JK Creative recognizes a 10-year milestone, I’ve been thinking more intentionally about growth, scalability, and long-term vision—not just staying busy, but building something more strategic.

I went in hoping for inspiration. I left with new ideas, new connections, and a much bigger vision for what’s possible.

About Entreprenista

If you’re not familiar, Entreprenista is a community built for women founders at all stages—from early startup to scaling and even exiting multi-million dollar companies. Since 2021 their mission has been to empower women founders by sharing their stories, offering invaluable business insights, and fostering a vibrant community of support. Through engaging podcasts, hands-on resources, curated solutions, and a vibrant community they help women navigate the entrepreneurial journey with confidence and clarity.

Now let’s dive in to all the Founders Weekend fun…

Welcome to Founders Weekend!

PGA National Resort was a beautiful setting for the event.

Thursday Evening: Setting the Tone

Highlights:

  • Guest check-in + arrivals

  • Welcome party at the Pavilion

I arrived early and spent time in the lobby bar before things officially kicked off, and honestly, that was one of the best decisions I made all weekend.

The energy was immediate. Conversations were easy. People were open. It didn’t feel intimidating or cliquey. It felt welcoming.

The welcome party that night set the tone perfectly. A beautiful setting, thoughtful details, great food, and mocktails (which I loved to be able to stay present and intentional.)

And the swag bags? Next level. So many female-founded brands represented with beauty, books, snacks, and more.

Cheers to kicking off an amazing weekend!

There was so much good food all weekend too!

The swag just kept coming all weekend.

Friday: Thinking Bigger

Highlights:

  • Morning sessions on messaging, money mindset, and publishing

  • “Why Every Founder Should Publish a Book in 2026”

  • Breakout: Building a Business to Sell

  • Marketplace + activations + networking lunch

  • Speaker meet & greet + evening dinners

Friday was all about expansion. The morning sessions covered everything from messaging to money mindset to data-driven decision making. The conversation around publishing a book really stood out to me. It sparked something I hadn’t fully considered before.

Then in the afternoon, I attended a breakout on building a business to sell—and that was one of those moments where you just sit there thinking… okay, I need to think bigger.

As someone who has built a service-based business, it pushed me to think differently about structure, scalability, and what actually creates long-term value. Not just for today’s clients, but for the future of the business.

Being in a room with women who have actually built and exited multi-million dollar businesses shifts your perspective fast. It makes you start asking different questions:

  • What am I building toward?

  • What would make this more valuable long-term?

  • Am I thinking strategically enough?

And beyond the sessions, the in-between moments really started to shine… quick conversations turning into real connections, and dinner plans forming that led to more meaningful one-on-one time.

Ready to learn on day one with a new notebook on hand.

There were so many fun photo opps too.

Saturday: Real Talk + Alignment

Highlights:

  • “You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Be Powerful”

  • Breakout: Navigating Founder Burnout

  • Breakout: Magnetic Messaging to Paid Media Profits

  • Marketplace + networking mixer

Saturday hit on a deeper level. One of the biggest messages from the main stage: You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful.

Simple, but something I think a lot of us need to hear, especially as founders constantly trying to level up.

The burnout session felt very timely. It was an honest conversation about the pressure, the pace, and what it actually takes to sustain success without running yourself into the ground.

And then the magnetic messaging session surprised me in the best way. It really challenged how I think about positioning.

Am I clearly communicating who I am and what I offer today… or am I still showing up as an older version of my business?

This is something we see often in our work at JK Creative. Businesses evolving, but their messaging not keeping up. It was a good reminder that as founders grow, their brand has to evolve with them.

Also worth mentioning: the marketplace and brand activations were incredibly well done. As a team that works in branding and event experiences, I couldn’t help but notice how seamless and intentional everything felt—from programming flow to brand touchpoints.

The main stage hosted many amazing speakers and panel sessions.

Sunday: Perspective + What’s Next

Highlights:

  • Power of storytelling session

  • Keynote with Anne Mahlum

  • Curated networking + closing remarks

Sunday wrapped everything up with a mix of reflection and inspiration. Hearing from Anne Mahlum—her journey from nonprofit founder to building Solidcore—was a powerful reminder that growth doesn’t have to be linear to be impactful. Her story was real, layered, and incredibly motivating.

It was the kind of session that makes you pause and think about your own path… and what you want to build next.

I really enjoyed connecting with brands at the Marketplace.

I even got to enjoy some glam time between sessions!

The Moments That Mattered Most

As valuable as the sessions were, some of the best parts of the weekend happened outside of them. At dinners. Between sessions. In quick conversations that turned into something more. I met women from all over the country, across so many different industries—but with the same energy: driven, open, and genuinely excited to connect.

I left with:

  • a stack of business cards

  • coffee chats already scheduled

  • and a strong feeling that these weren’t just “event connections”—they’re future collaborators, partners, and friends

Because when you’re surrounded by people who understand the reality of entrepreneurship—the highs, the lows, the risks—it creates a different kind of connection.

Met so many ladies from all over the country!

So many new connections!

Had some great table mates for the event.

It was great meeting inspirational authors too.

What I’m Taking With Me

If I had to sum it up in one thought: Being in proximity to ambitious, successful women changes how you think about what’s possible.

It expands your perspective. It challenges you. And it pushes you to level up—not just in theory, but in action.I left with a running list of ideas for my business, new ways to grow and optimize, and a renewed sense of excitement for what’s next.

Meeting the Entreprenista founders, Stephanie Cartin and Courtney Spritzer, in person was such a full-circle moment (and I was lucky enough to win a 1:1 session with Courtney, which I’m really looking forward to!)

So cool to meet Stephanie and Courtney!

Going home with so many notes.

Feeling so inspired!

Final Thoughts

As a founder, this weekend reinforced something I already believe, but don’t always prioritize: Growth doesn’t just come from working more. It comes from stepping into the right environments.

If you ever have the opportunity to get in a room like this—take it. Not just for the sessions. But for the conversations, the perspective shifts, and the reminder that you’re not building alone. Because sometimes, the most productive thing you can do for your business…is step away from it for a weekend.

So many memories made at Founders Weekend!
